Who this program is for.
- 18+, California resident
- BMI ≥ 30, or BMI ≥ 27 with a comorbidity (Type 2 diabetes, hypertension, sleep apnea, etc.)
- No history of MTC, MEN2, or severe pancreatitis
- Not pregnant or breastfeeding
What patients ask before starting.
Will I be on medication forever?
Not necessarily. Many patients use medication during a structured weight phase, then taper or pause with their clinician's guidance. Your clinician will personalize the duration.
What are common side effects?
Nausea, constipation, and reflux are the most reported, especially in the first 2–4 weeks of titration. We adjust titration speed and provide protocols to manage them. Severe side effects (e.g., gallbladder symptoms) are uncommon but tracked.
Does insurance cover this?
We're self-pay. Some commercial plans reimburse parts of GLP-1 prescriptions; we provide a superbill so you may attempt out-of-network reimbursement.
What if I'm not eligible?
Your clinician will say so honestly at your visit, and we refund the program fee you paid, keeping only the consultation fee for the visit itself. We'll offer Nutrition or Telehealth as alternatives if they're a better fit.
How does payment work?
Booking takes no card. Before your visit we email you a secure Stripe payment link for the program fee, which includes a consultation fee, and the visit happens once it's paid. The link shows the exact amount before you pay. If your clinician decides the program isn't appropriate for you, we refund that fee except the consultation fee. You can decline before paying with no obligation.
